A Derby tenpin bowling centre is giving players the chance to let off steam by taking aim at special pins decorated with the face of the celebrity they love to hate.
Tenpin Derby, based at the Forester’s Park in Osmaston Park Road, Sinfin, says it wants to add an extra fun twist to people’s games by giving them the chance to get their own back on the famous person who gets their back up.
It is planning to commission a professional artist to design the pins but is first asking the Derby public to nominate the person who deserves to have their face in the firing line by voting on the company’s Facebook page.
General manager Donna Walsh said: “Tenpin bowling is a great way to let off some steam and we wanted to give players an extra incentive to send our pins flying.
“Everyone has a celebrity who gets their blood boiling, so we thought why not give them the chance to seek some revenge by using their faces as target practice.
“We have an idea of one or two of the people who might be at the top of Derby’s hit list but ultimately it’s up to our customers to decide who they love to hate - and who deserves to be on our celebrity pins.”
Tenpin, which has recently completed an extensive refurbishment programme of the Derby centre, will announce the identity of the celebrity next week and will install a commissioned pin in each of its 26 lanes.
